Hello, I was wondering what you guys thought was the best way to offer a secure server to my clients on my dedicated server. Should I have them provide the certificate, or should I have a share cert? If I go with the shared cert, what steps do I need to take to get it workimg successfuly ans securely, in terms of allocating disk space for each client? Or again, is it just easier to have them supply their own certificate?

Thanks

* certificates or as you called them shared certs are def. more expensive, but your going to find that most business, arent going to want to fork out an extra 100.00 for their site to make it secure exp. when most of your competitors offer ssl for free through shared certs.

Shared certs are made so you can have bob.mysecurecert.com, bettsie.mysecurecert.com, etc.mysecuredcert.com all work, the easiest way for you to set it up would just have your secure version of apache-sssl point to their current document directory, then all your customer owuld have to do to use ssl would be to change http to https
