Hi guys,

I need help, someone is using my cc to pay for hosting. I did not notice it since I pay alot of bills through my cc and just yesterday I was checking my statement and I found the billing by "ZDNET INC" for USD35.00 for April, May, June 2001. I will be calling my cc bank to make a chargeback asap.

Can anyone advise me, how do I contact "ZDNET INC" or their url to lodge a report. I am from Malaysia and this have never happen to me before and it will be a problem to change to a new credit card number as I have lots of ongoing payments to settle monthly to my hosts which I am a reseller.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Am I missing something? ZDNet usually refers to "Ziff Davis" at http://www.zdnet.com/ and this is not hosting but a magazine...

Oh, I am really sorry guys, it should be "ZWNET INC"

Can you give some advice? Should I terminate the cc account and apply for a new one or wait and see howit goes for the month of July?

Anyway, I still have other cc that I can use for the time being.

Any advice is welcome.

I would get a new card if I were you. Even if there is a small chance that someone else has your creditcart information, would you want to risc that?

Thanks zolbian,

Yes I am now worried and I will go ahead to get a new card asap, I don't see any other choice I have but to terminate the cc and get a new one.

I just send an email to http://www.zwnet.com which I manage to trace through the search engines.

I hope they trace the culprit as I furnished all details to them and hope to receive a reply from them.

I am just wondering, is it so easy for someone to get hold of your cc and use it?

It's as easy as you giving it out to a merchant. Everywhere you give your credit card to is a risk. Be extremely careful about this (something you can't always do, but at least try). My mother just got her new credit card after she found a $30 charge on her credit card from sexmedic.com or something like that which was a surprise to her. She called up the credit card company and they killed the charges to it, shut off the card, and sent her a new one immediately.

You were right Justin,

I called my cc company this morning(Malaysian time) and they agreed to block the old card as of today and issue me a new one and also submitted 3 ZWNET INC chargeback forms by fax for processing.
