Honu 06-23-2001, 10:17 PM Aloha well www.Microsoft.com/iis is a good start you are going to need a service to point the dns do you have a static IP with your internet access ???? also do you want everybody to be able to see stuff on your home computer sounds like that is what you are going to do ?? host at home for fun of it ??? make sure your isp does not mind you hosting sites adn expect not to have mroe than one or two people connect to your sit eat one time if you want to develop a website get an account if ya want NT www.hostmysite.com or www.pwebtech.com or www.ecui.com have cheap NT services that will do you good try moving your name to someone like like mydns.com so you can control it but if you have personal stuff such as quicken or other stuff on your home puter be careful if you know nothing of security on a NT box (any box for that matter) do not make it a server at home (make a box you do not care if it gets hacked |
