Hello,

I have just installed the RH 8.0 on my machine and when I run the command up2date -fu on the shell, I get the below error message :


Fetching package list for channel: redhat-linux-i386-8.0...

########################################

Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies...
There was an SSL error: (104, 'Connection reset by peer')


Please help.

check the log...and see what it says

Ok , it works now but when the package is installing , some error says that the httpd rpm error :

There was a fatal RPM install error. The message was:
There was a rpm unpack error installing the package: httpd-2.0.40-11.3

it sounds like you might have installed redhat from a bad CD, you should re-donload redhat and verify the media.

BTW: dont use up2date, you apt4rpm http://apt.freshrpms.net
