I am designing a website for a client who wants to put a catalog and bridal registery online. They have hired a programmer, but I'm not to sure of his abilities so I'm wondering if I could get some quotes from you guys to show my client.

For the Catalog, we would need to have a panel where one could add an item:

Add picture
Description
Keywords (for search)
Price
Catagory
etc, etc.
[/list=1]
Then on the catalog front people would be able to browse different catagories and see stuff. Also, a search would be nice (search for this kind of item in this price range, or search in this cat. with these keywords for this price range, etc.) This may later have to be integrated with a shopping cart. It would also be nice to be able to make a shopping list ( with the names and/or pictue and/or description and/or price) and be able to print it out.

Also, bridal registery software. We would need

Secure login
The ability for brides and grooms to select gifts from catalog
The ability for the an admin to say an item has been bought already
etc, etc.

You might want to check out ClickCartPro for this application . Its a Catalog shopping cart with a multi level admin structure , the ability to create groups , upload photos etc. Sounds like it would work well for your application .
