but... hmm, what kinda php/mysql problems are you having? we can help you alot better if you post the problem along with how you feel about the problem :) (or we'll try our best to help you but if its some kind of multi-parted calculus problem trying to solve the loss of kinetic energy within a system counting for both air resistance and friction for a 3 dimensional projectile motion *and other more advanced physics stuff here* then maybe not! but who knows :D)
