Our church has a website that is written in .asp. We currently have a web-based editor that allows individual departments to update their own pages, yet keeps the format similar throughout and is easy enough for anyone to use. Is there an editor that would allow us to do this in .php?

There are too many to name! This sort of function is all too comman, we're talking about a cms or content management system, basicly theres a site design, layout, and the actual contence/text/info is managed by and admin area. php-nuke (yuk!) is a faily popular cms but just search google and thers plenty. I would of course be happy to come to an aragment to build you one myself ;oP

How big is your church?
By which i mean, if your church is large enough, perhaps a better idea would be to find yourself a webmaster. If that's not quite yet a possiblity, or a reasonable one at least, yeah, CMS's exist, and you may have to just jump in and try them out before you find one which works for you and your church.
Good luck! :)
