I stumbled on these guys and I wondered if someone here has any experience with them.
good, bad or ugly maybe?

I think they mostly host adult sites looking too what they offer.

48 hour activation seems like a long time to wait

I just picked up a guy who left prohosters. He didn't say why he left, just that he was disatisfied with something, he didnt say what.

Hi all,

I've been with ProHosters.com for over a year and host close to 200 domains with them on a semi-dedicated server.

Their support is generally excellent - you can use their website to log a ticket, and if it is urgent you can even run to the MIRC room and talk to one of the techs... They are happy to have a realtime chat with you and deal with issues right there... Or, if a problem is going to take a while to fix, they tell you so...

In fact, most 'problems' that will take a while to fix are usually requests I make for little-known third-party pieces of software to be added, and the PH techs may need time to 'learn' it first!

I get unlimited domains with my package, and each domain gets its own unique IP.

They used to have some repetitive downtime incidents back when they had Broadwing as their provider, and there were various tense moments during their changeover to Verio. But now all that is behind them, and uptime is excellent!

Also, server performance is fantastic (I even had a performance problem with one of my scripts, and the techs tweaked my script for me FOC!!!)

As a result of my experiences with them, I intend to get a dedicated server with them to host my cpanel based web-hosting venture - even though their not even an official cpanel reseller! Basically, most of the cpanel resellers I hear lots of complaints about, or the prices are high (or, at best, similar to prohosters), so I'd rather give ProHosters my money as I know them, they understand my needs, and I TRUST them...

I am guessing that anyone that had a bad experience with them either left during the Broadwind days, or even opened a new account during the changeover to Verio... All I can say is that they really have it together these days, and I won't be leaving them any time soon...

You see, in turn, that post was completly unnecesary. You are just raising your post count. It was completly irrelevant.

I have used ProHosters for about six months. They have been great. Their support response has been fine and their prices are good. I am allowed up to 100 domains on my account each with a unique IP address. Servers seem fast and I haven't had any downtime problems.

it may be easy to dismiss new members comments as spam.
Here are my comments. I have used them for probably about a year now as well, and I think they are excellent. Their services represent good value for money. I have always received great support from their staff, and they have an excellent real time chat room to offer support for their customers. I have seen other companies offer this, but no one is ever online, with prohosters, i have always found someone to help me.
I admit that many months ago they experienced some troubles when switching to verio. I decided to stick with them simply because they offered great service. And i am glad that I have stayed with them.
