View Full Version : paysystems
wheimeng 04-22-2003, 02:23 AM hi there,
i've mailed paysystems for almost a week, yet there is any reply from them. time is running out, is there any other way that i can get in touch with them?
btw, any idea where to get their Merchant contract?
thanks in advance..
WebmastTroy 04-22-2003, 03:23 AM The lack of response on their part isn't suprising. You can call I guess.
The merchant contracts are sent to you once you create your account. You've gotta fax those along with other stuff to the underwriting department which then approves or denies your account (you have to pay the setup fee before the underwriting begins).
They obviously don't want your business if they aren't responding so I would consider shopping elsewhere. I have been very disappointed with their support staff and the attitudes received from them. Their false advertising ("real-time"...HAH!) and overall instability make it very frustrating. I would suggest looking elsewhere. (Of course, just my opinion from personal experience)
Good luck. :)
Andrew 04-22-2003, 03:26 AM Paysystems is pathetic. They lost my business and frankly, I'll think twice about spending any money with anyone who uses their services. Any company that incompetent shouldn't have my credit card number...that's for SURE.
wheimeng 04-22-2003, 05:18 AM hmm, if so, is there any good merchant system (possible low rate or low setup for the time being) that accepts malaysia clients? my company is malaysia based, not widely accepted..
give me some options.. thanks

Same boat... Paysystems is pathetic!!!
I love how they implement changes and never give a word up to clients. (like that donation to cancer which is 1 reason I canned my account, but mainly due to rude support or lack of support)
Funniest thing was for 4months they can take my CC as a client of a host using them, but won't take it and call me fraud when its for opening their merchant account  :eek4:
Then treat me as if I was a common criminal and it's all my fault their sql server crashes every other week
UH-Matt 04-22-2003, 11:39 AM No problems with paysystems for us. We do large volumes daily and have had only very minor issues which are solved in excellent time.

Yes there are quite a few that do big business with them..
I do think the level of servie you get greatly depends on how much money your making them.. IMHO of course (not factual)
singhk 04-27-2003, 08:36 AM Their secure server does'nt run most of the time. This time again its not running.
NexDog 04-27-2003, 08:45 AM We do 10k+ through their system every month. Hardly ever any problems. Always get a response to tickets, money is always there every Friday. Sure, they have the occasional issues:
1) Timeouts on the MCC
2) Settling of some orders taking 3-4 days (especially slow on weekend)
3) Every few days email notifications take 24 hours to reach us
4) Sometimes it takes forever for new orders to appear
5) That donation thing really ticked me off too ;)
Non of the above affect our business. The MCC control panel is like having a complete accounting dept working for you. There are bumps and a few months ago it was especially bumpy but I like their service alot. They've always done right by us.
Aussie Bob 04-27-2003, 09:15 AM All is good with Paysystems here too. Although the Aussie public holidays have thrown off the wire transfers a touch, that's ok. :)
NexDog 04-27-2003, 09:29 AM Yea, should get it tomorrow, I hope....
Yes we are based in the US and haven't recieved the ACH yet, they did say it was sent out Friday. NexDog I am always suprised by the volume your site does, we are only 1/5th of that but growing ;)
Yet at 1/5th we did go with our own merchant account provider, don't laugh (eonlinedate *shrug*). Just read some of the posts they had here on WHT. I hope it works out well. Also just read about the darn CVV2 thing, or CVVS whatever. We use ModernBill and it is illegal for anyone to keep the CVVS or CVV2 information so apparently when we rebill our rate goes up because we can not resubmit that information wtf?!?! Oh and they made us take down our year plan and only have 6 months max, due to high chargeback and fraud rates year plans bring.
NexDog 04-27-2003, 07:36 PM Don't be suprised. :)
Alot of hosts that have been operating for 18 months+ do 10k and more. You need around 600-800 clients on plans ranging from $3-$99/mo. That's only getting 40 clients a month steady. So grow steady, provide a nice service and experiment in lots of different ways to get clients and be innovative in providing extra services to keep them.

Doing close on triple that [AUS$] over here. :gthumb:
Paysystems wire transfers just came through over here too. ;)

Be damned if I'd be silly enough to post our turnover here, but I'll take your word on the Paysystems receipt. The NAB internet banking is down for maintenance. :)

Aussie Bob 04-27-2003, 11:34 PM Each to his own Gary. Hardly, "silly" :)
The public holiday on Friday threw off the wire transfers a tad. It appeared in our account about 2 hours ago. :)
AussieHosts 04-27-2003, 11:57 PM It's one thing they could never be accused of...withholding funds. Even with those who have had their accounts closed for violating the ToS, I don't think I've ever heard of them not paying out. Late once or twice over Dec-Jan, but I'm sure that's a period they'd prefer to forget entirely.

Yep. The $$$$ is pretty much always in our account on the Friday afternoon. These last 2 Fridays, with our Aussie public holidays, has messed things up somewhere in the system. But the $$$ turned up the next business day.
Kind of takes me back to my days as a subcontract Carpenter. Every 2nd Friday was payday then. Although now I get paid every Friday and a tad more than when I was on the tools, slopping around in the mud, rain . . . :D :eek3:
NexDog 04-28-2003, 12:46 AM Ah, takes me back to my scaffolding and concreting days in Sydney. :D

ewwww, concreting. Don't remind me. :bawling:
We've got it sooooo easy now, compared to the building industry. I don't consider what I do as "work", in the strict sense of the word. I get to work online, doing what I love and make an excellent living at the same time.
Life is sweet indeed. :gthumb:
Ohhhh, and....er....getting back to the topic of this thread ;) Paysystems seem to be behaving themselves lately. Although when we get setup in our new rack, I'm going to take a very hard look at WorldPay. Paysystems costs us 6.73%. I can get that down to around 4% with WorldPay, according to Rochen. :D
NexDog 04-28-2003, 03:23 AM Yea, when I see the total amount PS has taken in the last 18 months, it makes me cry.....:bawling:
And you're right, this isn't really work. I love doing this, every second of every day. Seeing the fruits of your labour materialise in a booming company with happy clients and loads of projects being worked on....doesn't get much better than this. :gthumb:
Just wish I got out more, that's all....
AussieHosts 04-28-2003, 03:27 AM Get on to your bank. It makes a difference. :)

NexDog 04-28-2003, 03:30 AM Our bank.....bunch of dithering old ladies that can't even count and make a bodge of 50% of all wires sent....rather trust PS at the moment.

Will look hard @ WorldPay. If I can save 2.73%, that's very good thing. ;)

Get a new bank? You need to be able to work with them. We'd be lost without ours...though the Bendigo Bank will always go a step further.
G
Aussie Bob 04-28-2003, 07:51 AM Just setting up a company account [Visa debit card] with the Bendigo at the moment actually. :D
St George don't allow Visa debit cards on business accounts. :eek2:
AussieHosts 04-28-2003, 07:57 AM I believe they do if you're mortgaged to the hilt with them Bob...but we're with Bendigo for business, ST George for lending and the National for anything certain family members can assist with. ;)
