We do a lot of fraud checking, and we don't have a steady pattern of fraud. I have had entire months with zero fraud, and then in one night I can get hit with dozens of bad orders (which get flagged and are cancelled by us).

If you are getting a lot of fraudulent orders, you are probably doing something wrong.. getting listed in the wrong place or something.

We got hammered for a week after a client started posting our URL in some l33t haxx0r chat rooms. The client was new to our services and was using his hosting accounts for some short lived dump sites.

I have had no fraud orders, which is why I was asking. I thought I was an oddball for being thorough.

We leave this part to 2checkout.com -- They are good at preventing this :D

We have seen possibly 2% of total signups to be fraudulent. But agreeing with another poster...they are quite few and far between. We haven't seen any in about a month...but we are always on the watch.

AVS helps alot as well as verifying account information matches purchaser information and location.

They are OK.. paysystems has much better, sometimes to good, but personally I hate PS support or lackof support I should say  :eek2:
I have gotten 2 frauds both times never got a confirmation email by 2co.. Nothing saying it was fraud or good, probably a bug which they exited out of 2co before completeing order 100%

I haven't seen any patterns to fraud, minus the fact they go for a higher account and bypass any specials you have posted all over site ;)

Which the not going for specials throws so many red flags all over the place, you'd think there was a nascar wreck in my living room ;):stickout:

Do use goolge to search for area codes, zipcodes look up address (make sure its not a zoo in china ;) )
Plus many other things which I am still learning the best methods.
