Hi,
I have a website hosted on Yahoo! website services for the past several years. The service and the up-time had been very good until about a few months back. However, for the last few months, I have observed a noticeable performance degradation in the quality of hosting services, and their customer support. Any of you hosted on Yahoo! website services, if so, how is your recent experience?
thanks.

A what? A customer service at Yahoo!??? No one has seen it since the portal establishment. Seems like those two dudes still running it alone.

If you want support - that is one of the worst places to be.

Thanks for your replies Artashes, and Foreigner. My website is up after about 72 hours (more than 3 days) downtime. I observe that many hosts don't mean what they say about web-hosting features. For example, when a web host says 15GB transfer for $15, he doesn't really mean it. They tend to drop the web sites that operate near the upper threshod of what they offer (like a web site consuming nearly all of 15GB of BW, but still falling within the specified limits). This may be due to the reason that some web hosts are cutting their prices so much to get more customers or whatever. Under such circumstances, it becomes very difficult to find a web host that offers best price/bandwidth and also adhere to what they offer. I would like to invite the webmasters who have successful web sites, that utilize space/bandwidth features fully, and yet happy with the web host, to share his/her experience. This would be helpful to many in choosing a web host. The discussion may be limited to shared web hosting with price tag of less than $40 per month, and a bandwidth of 15 GB or more. Any suggestion(s) or experience with proven web hosts falling in this range?

I am looking for a RELIABLE web host, with atleast 15GB of traffic and $40 or less per month. One important feature that I am looking for is scalability, in the sense, that a web host be able to offer higher bandwidth when required. I am considering dewahost.com. They have schemes starting from as low as 10 GB and up to as high as 100GB. They also appear time tested. Anybody suggest similar web hosts, that are time tested, and offer highly scalable packages (Going up to 50GB per month)?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
