Ok we are unable to get billadmin so we are really looking in to WHNBilling now. If it can do some simple things for us.. From looking at the demo one thing lost me to do with CPanel. If we don't use some kind of signup form and just add the customer by hand in the backend when and where does it setup the sites on CPanel servers.
When does the setup E-mail get sent once they pay or when i am lost on some of this. Also how does the invoice stuff work in WHN? Do you guys at WHNBilling or any one using know this stuff i am lost.. Is there any kind of FAQ or help files with this system
Thanks

I've requested more information about BillAdmin; but i'm also looking into WHNBilling :) Do you know if it connects to WHM in order to set-up the accounts?
Anyone knows if there is any other software that can be used for billing and at the same time for account setup with WHM?

Hi guys,
WHNBilling does provide full automated signup.
Your client fills in the form, chooses their account and enters their credit card information.
The system then attempts a charge on their card, if successfully it then sets up the cpanel account immediately and sends them an invoice + their welcome account email.
The system marks when the account is to be recurring billed, and will then charge the their credit card when their term is renewed.
The process is completely automated.

Simon

Hey Si-WHN,
But the problem is we don't want to have the form and the user fill it out and it setup the site..
What we want is to have them submit orders like now. Then we put them in buy hand in WHN in the back end. Then have it set them up.. So not realy time but we still don't have to go in to WHM to set them up as well..
Anther probem i see with WHNBilling software.. Let say some one wants to order via invoice.. No way to do this in the signup script in WHNBilling software only Credit card.
But in the back end there is a way to do it. But then you have to WHM to setup the site.. Next problem is in the backend you can add your plans but lets say you have package 1 for one month 7.95 ok now you have to make anther plan and should be able to have the same name package but for 3 months and so on for the amount of time. But instead.. You add Package 1, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, then they all just show up as package one in the oder form no way to tell how log its for..
There would be a much better way to do this but with no way to give a discount for loger terms. Packege 1 x the number of months they pick would be a lot better way to do this.. Does not work well the way it is if they want to pay for a year..

1. This has been discussed before and in fact WHN does do invoicing, you simply signup a customer with the check signup form and it creates invoices based on your account you select...IE: you select monthly, the user gets a invoice monthly
2. We designed WHNBilling to where you do in fact have to create additonal accounts for each account thats billed 1,3,6,12 months, the reason for this is if we went the other route, it would prob have taken about 10,000 extra lines of code and about 1-2 more months, so thats why we created WHNBilling as it is now, even though you have to create 2 extra accts for one package, its worth it because it gives the user much needed info on when they will be billed and how they were billed
IE: If i got a bill that just said
"Package1 $119.40"
I would wonder if this was m.q.y billed...with WHNBilling the user selects
"Package1 Yearly $119.40"
that clears the user problem

Also, you can also use the check signup form if you wanted to enter a user and have them setup quickly, since it would in fact put them in the billing system AND send them their acct confirmation email
In our next release (1.70) we will be adding the capablity of suspending an account after XX days (you configure that) if they get a declined card, after that XX days, WHNBilling will suspend the account in both billing and whm

Where can we get a hold of this billing system?
I have some customers who have Cpanel3 and would like to know how to get a hold of it.
