Guys, can you give me an opinion on VSD Technologies? The VSD stands for either Virtual or Vancouver, Services & Development. If you don't like either of the V's, can you suggest an alternative? 1 is the lowest, 5 is the best.

I voted a 3. It's not great, it's not bad.

Not a very memorable name...easy to forget.

Hmmm, be careful about asking the public for their opinion on business names. Somebody could well go and register that name now. :)

It's like asking the public if they like some name for car registration plates. It could give somebody else ideas :)

I normally just ask a few friends and family... but that's just me.

I spent a good 30 hours thinking of my name, and making sure the name had an associated domain name that was available.

Take your time, come up with 5 or 10 that you like, and make a list of the top three.

Think of logos, and how each name represents a certain image, how do you associate names with companies.

Names for companies can be very important, and it's really a judgement of the psychological state of potential customers, and how that's influenced by a name or a logo.

VSD.. is a little bit too close to VD for my taste.

I voted 3. Like someone before said, you forget it easily. Also, I had no idea what VSD stood for until I read your explanation which I guess could go back to my first comment.
