It's new logo time. I'm tired of the old one and it didn't come in a friendly format. :)

To that end, I'd like to hold a short logo contest to find a new one. The creator of the winning logo will be paid $50 (Paypal or other mutually aceptable method).

The primary purpose for this logo will be in the flash header here to replace the AlternaHost text:

Note that the site is still very much under construction but it should provide you with an overall feel.

The logo will also be used in html email as well as print material so it should be relatively simple and clean. For this reason, those who can provide their logos in vector format will get much more consideration.

Sorry guys, but this is definitely a contest and not a request for designers. My experience with logos is that they are rather hard to develop working one-on-one, especially since unlike site design I'm not sure what I want...I just have to look at a bunch until something jumps out at me. :D

I realize it takes some time to design logos for a contest that you might never be able to use which is why I tried to make the prize amount reasonable.

Nope, not the same guy, although Jason (Eliquid) is doing the site design for the site. He's a nice guy, so make him some good logos, too. :)

Iam happy with the result i created for him, i hope he likes it as well :)

Some feedback so far...

IC3D: In your first set, the second and third designs look good but the colors aren't grabbing my attention for some reason. In your second set, the first design has a lot of potential. You might un-reverse the "L"s in your work though.

Jason: First logo looks good except the "A" is somewhat hard to make out with that font. Might change to another. Your second one also looks good (great for print) but would need color for the web.

Artie: Good logo design but it's not very professional -- it looks more appropriate for a gaming/music/etc site.

I love feedback, so everyone knows how to improve the logo for the company so both, the designer & the customer are happy :)

I'll give some explanation about he logo's i submitted:

- The colors: They are just an example, iam pretty busy atm, but i'll see if i can change them today. I grabbed colours that already exist on your site, so it will fit your site 100%
- About the 'L's i was just playing around a bit. Alternate sounds to me like alternative so i tried to make something alternative in the logo like a reversed "L" i thought it would be catchy, but apparently it isn't :P i'll change that asap as well.

Arf wrong reply at the colours, it was another contest where i did that :D nevertheless iam editting the logo's right now :)

Here i tried some new color themes, the colors are kind of different as the others, so maybe you'll like them or maybe you totally don't. If you choose me i'll keep changing the colors till you are happy :)
