I think it may be difficult to find a host to offer a "free-trial" of a reseller account. The best thing I could suggest is to find a host you're interested in and ask them. I know I wouldn't offer it, but there are others that may.

As said above, not many companies will offer a "free trial". However, I am sure you will be able to locate a company which offers a "money back guarantee", most reputable companies should offer this. If you aren't satisfied with the service or don't want to continue with your account, you simply ask for your money back :)

The primary reason most hosts don't offer "free trials" is to try and stop spammers, hackers etc. from gaining access to their servers.

I'm asking for a trial account at http://www.energiserve.com.
You have to use the ticket "firstmonthfree" and tell you about WTF.
All of this at the order form.

Gigabean.com offers a satisfaction guarantee. Meaning that you do not need to pay until after the first 30 days. This way you are assured of quality service or you can cancel before you are billed.

I think most of the hosting providers on this board have become a little jaded... don't get me wrong, I don't blame them:
it's easy for someone to request a trial reseller account and just user whomever's server it is to spam the whole web if so they please....
just too many unknown variables...

Just to be fair, I will say that some people are still willing to take a chance and do that....
Right now, I have a free trial account with someone that shal remain nameless at the moment until I make my decision to move my accounts over to his server.....

just ask and you might just receive....

The thing is not such a great idea for a company to offer trial plan for reseller. Because it's the future customers' duty to do some researchs to find a good reseller plan for them self ;)

Chossing a reseller provider is/should be a serious step, especially if you are considering onselling web hosting plans. A free trial would be unnecessary as long as you have done sufficient research in to your chosen provider in advance.
