I know I am not in charge of this forum and all of us should respect the publisher/owner's policies.
However, I dont understand why active URL will reduce or damage WHT quality? A lot of people such as I use this site to help others, get help and at same time promote our own business/website.
The promotion variable will allow us to become more active in discussions and provide a richer and more active community for all to enjoy and benefit.

Ma not this again.. I could do with out this.. If they don't want sig the heck with them sig's.. I could care less.. But what i don't want is every time i come to WHT is to see a damn post about them..

Some one please make up there mind over in mod land..

Lets make a rule one way or the other and stay with it please then i don't have to see this every day.. I am sure you do't want to ether.. :)

Just don't make one rule one week then change it then next every one gets lost and pissed off.

I could care less but hate to see this fuss over some thing so simple as a sig..

My personal and brief opinion.............

Allow sigs to be how they were before, except with no "Packages Starting at $5!!!"

The people who don't want to see them can turn off sigs for themselves while the people that do want to see sigs can leave the option turned on!

What makes these threads annoying is all the bickering and negativity that seem to creep into them. First, you don't have to be a moderator to suggest something. We like it when people suggest things. Second, if you do have a suggestion, just make a positive post about the suggestion. Third, if you choose to reply to a suggestion thread, please don't bitch about it as if you were forced to read and respond to it. If you agree, say you agree and maybe a short blurb about why. If you disagree, just positively state why and don't bash others for (goodness) -having an opinion that you disagree with.

Yes i agree links should be active AGAIN in signatures, because:

1. An newbie wouldn't know how to copy and paste.
2. Most people are lazy to copy and paste.
3. The signature looks alot attractive when its an active link!

To enable hyperlinks in signatures we have to enable VB code. If we enable VB code the exploitation and abuse of signatures goes up, this created added work for moderators, I'd rather not spend twenty minutes per day filtering signatures. People literally embedded webpages into their signatures when VB code was enabled.

I'm sure people can cut and paste, or simply remember a url, otherwise I'd doubt they'd be on this forum. If we can eventually get moderated VB code signatures into VB we might consider it :)
