If you plan to support your customers properly then get your wallet out.

Request Tracker doesn't require the wallet to be out.

Quite a nice piece of software, although a little tedious to get installed.

Well after posting this I've been playing with ticket manager (http://tm.jynx.net/) and I have to say it's pretty nice. Email2Desk support and fairly simple, but modular. I like it so far and I'll update this thread as I play with it more :).

Wasn't really happy with phpcoin... would be a PAIN to customize. I decided to go with SSM.. not the best but pretty easy to modify. Plus I already wrote a module for email 2 desk support :).

Sorry you weren't happy with it, curious of your definition of customize?

Colors, fonts, layout, fields, etc.?

Specifically how hard it would be to recode to match the site design. It seems like a great script, but customizing the actualy HTML would take a lot of work.

OK- was curious. I mostly only get good feedback, as the ones who don't like it just move on.

As a note- although must edit html in code- there are only about 6 functions that covers 90% of the layout. And a stylesheet for colors / font sizes. :)

Thanks again for letting me know

No problem. I think it could be great if you could simply modify a header.php and footer.php file. I would actually probably move to that system if that were the case, even if PHP is integrated, it's just easier to locate. I'd recommend looking at Support Services Manager to get an idea what I'm talking about :).
