I've heard some of them are actually trained to do so.

I emailed their support a while back complaining about how AIM mutes the whole windows soundsystem just because of bad connection when you're using the Talk function (really stupid feature). And they emailed me back after a few days telling me to call their support. I'm not sure if it was an autorespond or not.

Oh well..

I believe we can all relate to the Very Long Flight one. :)

aol support doesn't know anything...i once had this problem where my IE wouldn't work and every tech i talked to told me to purge my cache and i did that like 10 times and i told one guy i did and he told me to do it again. and i kept telling him i did and he kept telling me to do it again. i said why do it if it doesn't work? and he said if you don't do what i say how can i help you. and then he disconnected.
