if you are going to be running an adult site you will probably want a dedicated server. If you aren't familiar with administering a webserver, I recommend you get a "managed" dedicated server. You will not find too many reputable hosts that will jump on the opportunity to host an adult site in a shared environment....for good reason. Adult sites pose many risks.

I realize that you only want to spend $25/mo., however, be prepared to get what you pay for. If you are looking for someone to manage a dedicated or semi-dedicated environment for you, expect to pay upwards of at least $75/mo. If that is a problem, you may want to axe the adult content as that will throw up a red flag for any host. Adult sites fall under constant attack as well as generally abuse bandwidth. If I were you I would find a host that specialized in security as well

actually, I will run a remotely hosted script site for a little circle of webmasters. I do not want to gain hundreds of users. Not actually at least. As soon as I have some revnue I will buy a dedicated.

I said I need to be allowed for adult content because I am planning on starting one.

I tried out some adult free hosts but they are all crap :bawling: so I need a decent host at least to get the first visitors and to develop the site.

If really the adult content is all that bad...well, I think I can get rid of it. I will get on with free hosts till I have some revenue with the other site. Actually I am only a university student and I don't have a lot to spend on.;)

any suggestion?
It would be better if I could have the capability to install custom ASP components on the server by asking the admins for review, but this is optional.

be EXTREMELY cautious of ANY host that offers "unlimited" bandwidth or transfer. These things are NOT and never will be unlimited for them, so how exactly can they be for you?

I know, but there is always something written about limitations on the TOS. I will take a look.
