I have 3 sites on it now but when i got the thing there was a test.com on it? how do i get rid of that site the little trash can beside it is greyed out for some reasion? oh and i see you can reboot your raq would you ever need to? I know that my PC runs better after i do if its been on all day.

the greyed site is the default web site... it is what your ISP installed (for some weird reasons) instead of asking you what it should be.

No, you don't NEED to reboot a server, but something like once per 2 week can't do harm either.

Don't forget this is not windows but linux... it works much smoother (even on a box like a raq)

Rick2,

Like Felix said, it is the default site. You may want to use the green wrench and edit the test.com site and change it to be your real web site. So instead of having your main site, the test.com site, and the two other sites, modify the test.com site so it is your main site. This would leave only three sites, and no more test.com! :)

Hope this helps you out.

i guess whatever site has the grey trash can is considered your main site?

Unless I am mistaken, it is your server's name (which is why it can't be deleted).

You can name the server anydomain.com or subdomain.anydomain.com (anydomain being one you own of course, and subdomain being anything, ie: myraq, raq1, etc.).

If it is a subdomain (or a domain for that matter), you'll have to DNS it to the IP address you are using for the server. I have one too, and have gotten past a few things (feel free to pick my noodle. I'd be glad to help with anything I know).

I changed the test.com to one of my other sites and when i tryed to go to it it would try to go to the old IP adress even though i chnaged it in the DNS info and all but anyway i put it back like it was lol i guess it dosent really matter? thanks for the help :)

If you have other questions about a raq3, you can always e-mail me at webmaster@can-host.com. We've experienced EVERY single problems there could be with a RAQ2 & 3 (I would NEVER recommend them).

Sooo... I am now able to debug any raq anytime ;)

Good luck!

Have you read the manual? I had raq 2 quite long ago. I didn't really have much problem with it.

Changing the DNS records will take time to reflect on the Internet, your ISP will cache the DNS record for upto 24hrs, it usually 3hrs or 1hr though.
