Interland closed my website for absolutely no reason today.
I believe I have loss several hundreds of dollars in profit becouse of the closure!
Interland did not inform me of the closure or of any other problems, infact one of their sales rep recently send me an email offering me a 'special offer' sign a contract for a year!
Do not use Interland!

Interland has a lot of other problems and reasons to avoid them.
On a larger scale, I have long thought there there is a need for some kind of organization and legal fund to sue hosting comapnies that act like bratty children and close down accounts with impunity. I've had it happen to me, though I had moved all my customers' sites beforehand.
I think one or two major suits against companies might get many of the others in line and have them act responsibly. The fear of legal expenses and adverse publicity could be the factor that induces them to shape up.

Isn't the guy the one who posted "do not use interland!" on scripkeeper's board?

But I can win a car at Interland!!! ;)
Does anybody else get these stupid flyers? To make matters worse it's addressed to WebAuthorities, like our hosting company is going to switch over to them. Get real.

Just want to add another post from someone different about Interland problems.
I feel like such a fool, but I actually paid for contract web services from these guys. Original quote: 3 days, $1200. 3 months, $4000 and no products later, I'm putting together materials for a lawsuit (which we're not likely to win because payment was for service *hours* - not actual products).
"Too big too fast" is a comment I've seen elsewhere and can agree on for Interland. In the few months I've been with them, nearly al of the people I've been in contact with have changed.
I don't have a completely bad impression of the company. My site is rarely down. They have a usable knowledge base. They do respond to e-mails in 48 hrs, and I can get phone support pretty quickly in off-peak hours. Their reps are unfailingly polite (comments I've read about rude reps surprise me).
Their success rate for tech solutions has been mixed - some they fix quickly over the phone, while others have required multiple unnecessary contacts, mostly related to not reading the original ticket carefully.
My experience with their contract services has been the killer, though - it's just beyond hard-pressed to take $4k and return nothing.
So I will be moving from Interland *and* trying to sue them, which adds up to less than a recommendation.

If you said its for the hours service, you cant get $4,000 back unless you have reason :)

One note about filing a lawsuit against Interland - you better have very deep pockets. Interland is backed my Microsoft dollars (MS owns a portion of Interland and has invested millions of dollars in the company), so you're pretty much going up against a 400 lb gorilla.
