well, I have surveyed for a while now. I think so far
Rackshack will be the first choice for unmanaged servers.
RackSPACE will be best for managed, but actually rackspace offer too less bandwidth. Could someone recommmend a good managed server with at least 300G bandwidth? budget is 250USD/month;)

Check out ServInt (www.servintservers.com). The website is ugly, but they are great. You may want to contact sales and see if they have any special offers or anything. I'm sure they can work with your budget.

The first that comes to mind is www.nocster.net. Their website says managed servers and they offer 300GB, just what you need. I'd also browse the dedicated specials offers forum, as well as post a request in the requests form for specific quotes.

RackFast.com also does managed servers. Support is pretty quick. I had to have more IP's assigned to my server. Sent them an email, 10 minutes later there was a reply sitting in my inbox.

Probably not a good idea to recommend them teck. They are having major issues network and support wise. Simple tasks take 4-5 days to get answered looking at their forums and the burst/nocster network has packetless every few hours ever day.

It was the first that came to mind, which is why I suggested to look in the advertising forums for other suggestions.

This really depends on what you mean by managed. One of the above recommendations will do everything for you.

What the managed servers I want to is

1.They monitor and fix when server down
2. patch by requested
3. tune server to get better efficiency

etc

In that case, you need your own systems administrator.

1) Monitoring - half may do it but will only alert you when something is wrong.
2) Patching - if you wait until you find out that something needs updating and get a DC tech to do it, you will already have been compromised.
3) Tuning - no DC will play with your box like that.

You would need to get a box and then hire a firm to manage it. Around $150 a month for intensive management is realistic.
