Here is my problem!

I had a server in RS some months ago which i later cancelled, but since then I've been still getting server monitor messages on my private mail box which is annoying to say the least , specially since the server seems to have problems lots of times PER DAY!

Now, i've already sent multiple mails to RS support and one directed directly to Patrick but thing is I didn't got any sort of response of action taken!

ISSUE SOLVED BY PATRICK FROM RS

thats the funny (not) part of it...yahoo can't block the sender (which is unknow - well i know its coming from root of the server but yahoo doesn't)...

It seems that the one who got your server after you might not have changed the alert email to that of theirs and that probably might be why you are receiving it. This is strange because I would have thought that the server is reformatted before it is resold to the next person. Unless of cos the server is currently in limbo which would be an odd thing.

Was the monitoring message from the server, Rackshack or an external monitoring service ?

eddy2099 - EXACTLY :/

Weird. When I was with them, the RS server Monitor never worked for me. But prior to cancelling, I did opt to remove the service so ensure that nothing remains.

By the way, do you still have access to the Member's Services section of Rackshack, if so, you might be able to shut your alert off.

I know how you feel. I signed up with a local stockbroker's email newsletter which I promptly cancelled but I am still getting email from them every day. No matter how much I alert them, nothing has changed. For now, the only option I have is to place it in the filter so it gets to trash each time.

Thing is the server has problems like 10 times per day...this is worse than spamming gezzz

Call them or Fax them if that would be of any help. I am not sure if their level of support extends to past clients as I never not contacted them since.

Unless your email is being filtered out by my spam filter, I've received absolutely no email regarding this situation.

and why would my mail be filtered by your spam filter...your filtering customer related mails now and call them spam..nice!

Anyway gonna send you a copy of the mail I sent to RS support again...

No spam filter is perfect. Mine catches 2-3 legit emails every day.

be wary of spam filters. you can't solely rely on them since they will ocassionally grab legit email. i would peek in the spam box once a day just to make sure no legitimate emails fall through the cracks.

good luck on getting this resolved.

Please dont twist what I say when I am only trying to be helpful, I checked through my spam box that has the messages for the past two weeks and see no messages that you have claimed to send nor do I have any in my inbox, all of which I save ( I did a search on your email address ). I will try to help you but there is no need to get upset with me personally when this is the first I've been notified of this issue.

Anyway its all good now since Patrick fixed this annoying to say the least issue!

Props fly out to him (cause the answer I got from normal RS was funny to say the least...they wanted to know my client nš FFS...)
