This is off the topic of webhosting but I could really use some help, how long can a Canadian Visit the US just visit not work not own a home just visit? I was told 6 months less day but it looks like thats only for Tax issues.

Ive been all over the US/ Canadian Gov websites and not one reference can I find to a time limit.

Not exactly sure, from what I remember 6 months sounds about right however you probably want to call Canadian Customs (or whatever they're called up there) or the American Embassy and ask.
