View Full Version : Enom reseller ??
drhonk 06-19-2001, 05:53 PM Ok .. I've done some research on domain reselling for the past few weeks and it comes down to three
1. opensrs
2. enom
3. dotster
I've also look at names4ever.com, they have a really good price ( $7.99 per domain ) but their API is really bad ( only support to register domain )... so I kinda crossed their name out... :)
Does anyone here know any website that reselling for enom ? I just need to see how good their API when you integrate it with your own website.
freeva 06-19-2001, 07:19 PM I think the best way is to email them. That way you get the most accurate info.
TheOp 06-19-2001, 11:19 PM powerpipe.com uses enom
schweiz 06-19-2001, 11:35 PM If I'm not wrong, registerfly (http://www.registerfly.com) is a reseller for enom too.
chinesehost 06-20-2001, 06:56 AM The reselling price of enom is $6.95 to $8.95, it should be the lowest, including free DNS services and nice control panel. The reselling price for .cc is also the lowest i can find, $25 at enom.
chinesehost 06-20-2001, 07:00 AM websurface.net and telaserv.net are resellers of enom .
drhonk 06-20-2001, 01:14 PM Ok ... more information on enom if any if you guys interested.
Their email support is not good, I sent an email to their reseller sales .. but no reply. Gave them a call .. and finally talk to somebody. Their reseller system do need an upfront deposit depending on which reseller account you want. The deposit is ranging from $400 to $6000... that's a little too much for me .. hehehe.. :D
I guess OpenSRS is the winner on this one..
tekkie 06-20-2001, 05:26 PM what type of cost did you find with OpenSRS and dotster?
Also, I've seen 101domains.com mentioned before as a good reseller but couldn't find info on reseller costs on their site - anyone have info on them?
Thanks.
drhonk 06-20-2001, 05:47 PM With OpenSRS .. they charge you $10 per domain and you have to give them $250 up front with no minimum balance after that.
Dotster, with their Instant Reseller System, you can be up and running within minutes by using their available links. You can customized the pages with your own header and footer. They will also charge your clients which is good, that way you don't have to worry about billing. But the cost is like $12 per domain.
hickster 06-20-2001, 06:38 PM Yes, Registerfly is a reseller, as well as powerpipe.com...
Don't do anything through registerfly... Their customer service is terrible as well as the fact that they are totally rude when you do have a question.
Thanks
hickster

Hmm... thats strange, cos from my experiences, I've always thought eNom has excellent sales people but poor support staff. So, if you do get excellent pre-sales response from them , pls dont be taken in, support really sucks :D
drhonk 06-20-2001, 08:56 PM Well... if the support is really suckss .. that means .. it sucks all the way because if I didn't call them .. they probably still haven't reply my email..hehehehe.. :D :D
Well I made up my mind.. I chose OpenSRS.
brianc 06-26-2001, 06:00 AM I was thinking about OpenSRS as well. Any examples of their resellers here?

visit 000domains.com, one of popular OpenSRS reseller.
Get-Hosted.com 06-26-2001, 01:17 PM For OpenSRS resellers, I'd recommend you go with bottomdollardomains.com. It is OpenSRS, $12, and instant domain activation etc... with domains I don't really think you need support, so I haven't used that just yet.
Enom requires you pay $500 to get 55 domains for $8.95 each. If you talk to them they will offer you to pay $250 for 25 domains at $9.95 each. Untill you get your prices down to around $8.95, I'd recommend you go with powerpipe.com to resell for Enom.
Anyone know about namecheap.com? They provide $8.88 domains and it seems very similar to Enom, but their order system is different. Anyone know anything about them?
inquisitive 06-30-2001, 12:51 PM name cheap are again resellers of enom. But they do not provide you with a seperate password for the management of domain rather they give you a single master password thru which you can modify your clients domain...now that means you can not give the access of the controlpanel to the client.... so everytime some modification has to be done the client has to approach you.. or else you need to tranfer the domain to the client .. a bit different and inconvinient method...so can try powerpipe or registerfly.... If you are looking at feature rich domain registrar. i would recommend enom over opensrs as it gives you lots of free services such as url forwarding , email forwarding , dns , mx record change cname ..etc.. heard a lot of gud things about stragateinc.com they too register the domain at very cheap prices.
