This is my first time posting to a forum. I am new to PHP and trying to get my hands on it now... excited. Looking for a share hosting company for my personal website that I wish I dont have to change or upgrade it for a long time. Went to HotScripts.com and found a link from the PHP page... "http://www.onsmart.net". They offer an option "SmartHost 302" for USD$16.95 per month, share hosting.

400MB Storage Space
15GB Data Transfers
Park Up to 40 Domains
Host Up to 5 Sites
Dedicated IP Address

I need a cPanel that has all the options I can play with and unlimited MySQL database. I have done some research and see what my options are. But there are just too many out there which I dont know who is the best in speeds, customer service and so on. I am not sure if SmartHost is the choice, since 400 MB is not that a lot. And is $26.95 for 600 MB, which is kinda expensive for me.

I like to know if anyone can help me in this field. Thx. :)

I would post this in Requests and you'll get plenty of offers.

Just a heads up. From the rules.

"Participants who are associated with a web hosting company may not use the main Forums to direct others to the advertising Forums."

Some people are picky about the rules. :)

Thanks for the heads up, UmBillyCord.

I avoid that forum myself, but I'll keep my lips zipped on that front.

How much does your website currently use?

Generrally speaking - go with a host that offers 2 times the amount of diskspace and bandwidth you currently use; and choose a host that allows you to upgrade packages :)

I'm guessing I could host for free with these guys forever. This if from their TOS:
Uptime Guarantee -- If your site becomes unavailable due to network outages for more than 0.01% of a whole month, we will refund that months charge to you, upon request.

That's a 99.99% uptime guarantee or free hosting for the month.

PersonalSites.org will charge a $200.00 site clean-up fee for any abuse of the terms listed below PLUS, ALL TIME AND RESOURCES TO TRACK AND TRACE ABUSE WILL BE BILLED AT PERSONALSITES.ORG'S $40.00 PER HOUR RATE x3 (TRIPLE DAMAGES).

This is also from Personalsites.com.
I have seen their TOS and AUP exactly word for word somewhere before. Does anyone recognize them?

Seems like this is the best deal so far to me. As for the abusing part which i am not going to be doing that, I think i can skip this. right?
