I've looked around this WHT and I can't seem to find any hosts that provides their resellers the option of having another layer of reseller??

ie, resell for a reseller of a host.

Can anyone point me to a couple of sites that offer that kind of features???

I could be wrong, but I believe cpanel offers multiple layers. Thus, some hosts who use cpanel servers might be a good place to start looking for this.

The problem is that I can't find them.

Why don't you post a request in the Advertising Forum, asking for hosts to reply if they offer this. Then you can come back and do some research onthe any that interest you (by searching first, then posting questions). I'm not certain how I'd word the thread title to accurately explain what you are looking for, but try to make it as clear as possible.

I might be wrong also, but I don't think WHM actually allows that ... As a root user, I can setup several WHM for reseller accounts, but inside these reseller's WHM, there is no option to setup another layer of WHM ... hence, I don't think it's possible ... I might still be wrong though, proabably from the way I set up those WHMs :)

I know hostgenie (http://www.hostgenie.com) and centralinfo (http://www.centralinfo.net) allow resellers to have their own resellers. I believe there are somemore if you look harder :)

p.s. I'm NOT recommending these hosts, havent used them myself... just two of those I happen to remember who offer such feature.

I am about 85% sure venturesonline.com allows resellers to resell. Check their forum. That is were I remember reading about it.

I actually went through all the hosts that listed themselves in the advertising forum, and I have to admit that there was only about 1 or 2 out of the whole hosts that had those reseller's reseller features there.....

What features would you need with reseller for resellers? I would think you could just resell your plan at a lower price to your resellers. Maybe you want your WHM Cpanel to have options to give someone reseller abilities?

well, for myself, I'll need close the the version of WHM, but I'm not really after anything that also involves the managemetn of the server (that's the hosts part)....and you are right, also need to have the ability to give someone reseller abilities.

and for my resellers, they'll have the ability to add their own accounts....
(that's what i'm really after most )

maybe Cpanel doesn't offer such features because I emailed VO earlier then and that was their reply.

You can have resellers under resellers in WHM, but! you need to have root privileges to setup the reseller account. A host doing this would have to setup the reseller account for their resellers.

Okay...am I going to look like a complete idiot if I ask what in the world does "WHM" stand for? I'm trying to figure it out...

I feel dumb. Someone PLEASE clarify for me :)

WHM = Web Host Manager

WHM is the program that comes along with Cpanel for the admin side. It allows you to add sites, check usage, and administrate the server.
