Hmm, this is quite rediculous. Forum Gateway (http://www.forumgateway.com) exceeded the Bandwidth limit. Blasted Novanix, someone needs to bring him and his scams down.

Novanix has a 3GB monthly limit... what do you expect? - If someone exceeds bandwith the host has 1 of 2 options, just charge the credit card, or shut down the site untill the problem is sorted out.

Well this is a quote from his host:

"We do not limit our users like other hosting companies. So you can have as many people visit and download from your site as you want"

Also says see their policy... but that page is down. 3GB is pretty small.

Forum Gateway is/was distributing warez and was using a pirated copy of vBulletin.

THAT little? I expected something more reasonable. :) I know he leeches a lot.. But 3 gigs.. is.. well, nothing. :)
FG ( www.forumgateway.com ) alone took up around 30 gigs. :)
Novanix doesn't host www.starcraftgateway.com on his own servers- he only leeches. [however, obviously still charges- even though it was originaly offered for free]

Humm.. well, just goes to show how much someone can really leech. ;)

3GB's is nothing? For most websites, its more than enough. Besides that, bandwidth isn't cheap and the host has to pay for it too :)

Novanix 'apparentaly' hosts about 20 sites. :)
Then there is the famed (saracasim doesn't work well online, does it? :)) SC Gateway- 300 gigs of Bandwidth a month. ;0 [lots of leeching]

Yes, 3 gigs is a lot for a normal, run of the mill site.. I'd say 97+% never use more than that- even on their best month. However, some sites use 10 times more.. Much like Starcraft Gateway- which uses 100 times more. :/

unless starcraft gateway is hosting files about 100MB or larger, they cannot get to 300GB monthly transfer.

There website is not a very highly rated starcraft site, and does not get alot of hits.

SClegacy doesn't even get that much.

Well, I know that they are getting 200 gigs + bandwidth. :)

They do host some nice sized files.. however, it is the bulk that does it. Many people download about 10-30 files there, each averaging anywhere from 500k - 2 megs. Currently..

1,000,000+ hits a month (obviously NOT vistors :P)

I dunno. I am just saying that compared to what ( know it is all a scam and all) Novanix 'supposdley' hosts, that's very little. (even if all the sites he 'hosts' where taking up less than 500 megs of BW a month- that's still a lot. :))
I was just saying that 3 gigs versus the big picture isn't very much. 3 gigs standing alone is a lot- heck, it's 1/10 of my free hard drive almost- and I don't think I could ever download that much stuff on my own in a month without just downloading everything.

lets say 1 person uses 1 megabyte. everyday there will be 3gb of bandwdith. lets make it 4gb of bandwidth just incase. 4 x 30 = 120gb of bandwidth. :)

forumgateway ran out of bandwidth because novanix used it for starcraft gateway lol.
