Could someone recommend hosts for a site to stream video on demand? I have a 13:10 min film I want to stream in both Real and Media Player at 56k and the next highest rate (100k I think.)

I don't need any encoding or development help. I'd like 100MB disk space and I've been guessimating that I'll need 30-50 GB/mo. transfer minimum (more is better as I want to make sure I don't get hammered by download fees if it becomes mildly popular). If possible I'd like to keep the cost in the $30./mo - $40./mo range.

An ecommerce feature in the package would be nice. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately with that amount of required bandwidth, that shuts nearly all virtual hosting accounts out of your range, as the most is usually only about 20 GB. You will need to consider moving to a dedicated server and spending at the very least around $99-200/month. The e-comm package will also add further costs.

Also, any 'unlimited bandwidth' host is to be avoided, simply because 95% of the time there will be a pre-determined bandwidth limit imposed by a host. (usually 5-20 gb anyway)

Instead of streaming how about allowing downloads? Thats what I ended up doing and usually end up with 6-8 gigs of transfer a month.
