View Full Version : Ensim, Cpanel or none of the above?

I'm looking to get a dedicated server at RS and was wondering if a control panel will drastically affect dealing directly with Redhat installation/tweaking. They're offering the same prices for a vanilla Redhat 7.3 as one with Plesk or Ensim installed. Since I'm not really getting this server to resell hosting, what's a good recommendation here?

A) just get Redhat and forget the control panels
B) go for the control panels -- they won't hurt
C) Webmin :D

TIA

If you have advance knowleadge on treaking a server with/without any additional control panel installed, get a clean RH box would be what I recommend. Of course, you wouldn't mind spending some money to own a license of a control panel in the future if it's neccesery.

If you would like everything setup and ready to go (RS activate server instantly), then with control panel installed would be a wise idea. But keep in mind that some control panels don't like to work with unfamiliar configuration.

I would go with B.

I would have to say B also. I have had some good experiences with control panel and found it handy

I think B is the winner :)

Thanks all.
