View Full Version : Washington Data Centers?
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knew of any Seattle Washington area DataCenters that have good prices? I've looked into the Westin Building but that isn't really what I'm looking for.

There is InterNap at Fisher Plaza.
You could check out C&W/Exodus, which are in Tukwila.
Perhaps ELI in Bellevue, or CM2.com.
Depending on how much space you need, the InterGate complexes have a few DCs, and tons of space.
Well I haven’t really heard anything from anybody that has used it, when I tried asking on this forum there were no answers. And I haven’t talked to anybody that hosts 1+ racks there. I also would like to find a reseller of an ISP so I can get a cheaper price.
If you could help me out with any of this information for the Westin Building I'd appreciate it a lot.

JTY- I have got a quote from InterNAP in Seattle and Jim has been very helpful to me. I am going to put up a rack there but I need to find a place where I can put up some more racks that are less exspensive.

Check out CM2.com, last I talked to them, it was $849/mo for a cabinet, 20 AMPS, and 1 Mbit of bandwidth.
AlaskanWolf 04-13-2003, 09:07 PM how much does the westin building go for? I got some info on them last week, along with an email from the realtor
From my understanding, they just give you the space right? no cabinets, nothing etc...you would have to install all that yourself?
It depends, you can lease office space in the Westin Building or in many of the DCs within the building. Or, I am sure you can lease cabinet space directly from building management... http://www.westinbuilding.com/
If you go with the Westin they have people that sell cabinets. You can contact Michael Boyle @ MBoyle@westinbldg.com You can get the cages and then get your own racks in there too I think. Then you get connected to the meet me room.
If you find any information about resellers that work out of the Westin Building please forward it to me.
Thanks

AlaskanWolf 04-13-2003, 09:16 PM likewise, if anyone has any contacts @ the Westin business of any resellers, let me know as well.
Im not to intune to having to build my own DC and cabinets, would rather have someone else do it ;)

And, many more have space in the Westin Building, Colocenters has a huge DC and list a number of providers that sublease or have POPs there.
Thanks for all the links! I've e-mailed ColoCenters requesting a little information. I noticed that cm2 is a customer of ColoCenters. I also e-mailed them. I'll pass the info along as it get it.

klynn 04-14-2003, 11:51 AM The Westin building (colocenters) is $900 per rack and that doesn't include bandwidth.
C & W / Exodus I don't have prices for but I should know sometime this week.
I have been saying for some time now that people here should go in together to get a full cabinet or several cabinets and therefore get the costs down for everyone.
If you're interested.. email me.
Kcorj 04-15-2003, 09:39 AM I can assure you that XO has facilities where you are looking and will be cheaper than either C/W or Exdous. Depending on your specific needs and I am not assuming that yours are the same as mine, I got 100mbps @ $50per meg and 6months free on a three year aggreement. I payed $425 per rack. Let me know if you are interested in speaking with my REP.;)
I would be interested in speaking to your rep. If you could e-mail me at dennis@iwebadmin.com or contact me through AIM (dywire) or msn (dennis_maxwell@hotmail.com) I would apreaciate it.
