Ok well we are in a real need for a good help desk.. The one thing i really want in it is it to be able to get e-mail..

So if a user send a e-mail to support@domain.com the support desk picks it up log's as a new ticket sends the user back a e-mail letting them know we got there e-mail and gives them a ticket #. Kind of like the Abuse desks at UUnet and others but a little smaller.. :)

The only one i have seen do this is simple-support but i don't really like that program as its old and not much support if any..

If there is any out there under $1000.00 please let me know. Thanks..

Also if you have one in the works let me know.. Would be happy to beta test it out for you.. :D

Hello

Ticketsmith is easier to install and use but the other is more proffesional.

I personally prefer RT. Both need a SQL server too.

Do you guys have any suggestions regarding ticketsmith?
A new version is released every few weeks.

Man i like that support system.. How hard would it be once it is done to import simple-support from solutionscripts.com in to it so we don't lose all our ticket..

I hope you are the maker of the program or i fell like a fool..LOL

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post it due to the Terms Of Service.. Chicken warned us about it... Sorry.

Due to it being introduced into the thread (which was 9 months old at the time) by the person whose URL you are talking about, I'd prefer that it not be discussed in the thread. Please PM/Email him directly or look for info in the advertising forums (not sure if there's a post there, but that's the only place it should be posted).

Hey Brad, check out www.perldesk.com as it does everything that you are asking. It is really a great piece of software, and the programmer is always helpfull and online. I think he is a member of these forums, but unfortunately I forget his username.

BTW Perldesk is free.

What about Perl Desk? I think it's very nice. I also have a script that will take all emails from say support@your_company.com and put them into the ticket system...then send out a message to the user with ticket information. PM me if you'd like the script.
