I was just checking the FAQ at Dialtone Internet, as I often do to stay up to date on things. Since two more pages were added, I took a look at all the new items. One of them is something that will interest high traffic servers.

DI calls it their Bandwidth Shaping program. It allows their customers to cap their costs for bandwidth and is an alternative to their 95%ile program.

That means that any customer of their customers now has a choice of the two bandwidth usage methods, all at the same company. Along with their recent increase from 50 to 65 gb, this is a terrific enhancement in their service.

Are you colocating or do you have a dedicated server through Dialtone? I am interested in putting up a server there down the line perhaps as a means of assuring stability.

Dedicated at the moment. Eventually, I'll colocate with them, but I have a lot more to learn first.
