Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can provide me a little more information of what you think about the SnapName.com services? Is it useful? And if I am seeing a domain name I want expiring in 2 years, should I start using the service already? Or wait until a few months before?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Two years is a long time to wait and pay $60+/- for a domain that may never drop. I would suggest aproaching the owner and see if he/she is willing to sell.

there is a very good chance that the name will be renewed.

you will have to pay the fee for each year ( at least it used to be so ), and domains that have established websites are likely not to be droped by owner + 45 extra days to re-register them.

I would wait at least for 2-3 months before expired date. ( or more if it is really nice domain = 6 months or so)

FutureUser, don't waste your money! I suggest you wait until a few months before it expired. Try to catch other domains you want using snapnames, as you know, it's not cheap for each year!
