View Full Version : Finally: A Host Busted By The Man
PERL SCRIPTOR 06-17-2001, 03:20 PM Hello all,
I was watching the news yesturday and saw my old friend (I won't mention his name since charges have been laid but remember the rule, innocent until proven guilty) Anyhow, this guy used to run several fake hosting companies. I used to work for him until after two weeks my pay check kept bounding and their was so many unhappy customers. Anyhow the sites were www.cybrex.com, www.ct-global.net, and www.cisnetworks.com and a few more were coming until he was arrested at the airport.
Along with being a hosting fraud he was the creator of www.ps2storeusa.com and www.ps2storecanada.com which stole over 2.5 million dollars from unsuspecting customers. It was this that made him known to the community of Moncton, N.B. and the world. Soon after about one month he was arrested at the airport.
Finally, yesturday the fraud investigation team announced that he was also being charged with the production and distribution of child pornography. So he's going away for a long time.
Hopefully, this is a message to other like him on the internet and good news to customers that law enforcement is catching these people.
Just thought everyone would want to hear the good news.
Aloha,
sick sick person
man nothing turns my stomach more than kids being abused in any form
arghhhh
well if he goes to prison most inmates are not to happy with people who do anything to kids so he will get his.
hostrocket 06-17-2001, 04:11 PM passed around like a sack of warm potatos :)
PERL SCRIPTOR 06-17-2001, 04:21 PM And his only 21.
Dogma 06-17-2001, 04:44 PM That is just wrong. Now the evil, cheating, child pornographer will meat Bubba
He is going to become  and then :bawling: when he mets Bubba :cartman:
Phoenix 06-17-2001, 05:09 PM Bubba say "all your a** are belong to us".
Dude won't have much of a life expectancy in prison. Child abusers are usually killed in short order, after they are thorougly sexually abused by every guy in the cell block.
This of course provided the guy actually gets punished for it. A recent story in the Herald about a web host who not only hosted child porn, but produced it himself, indicated that he'd been investigated by the AG multiple times, but still had access to the young man who was his 'model', was still in business and hadn't ever been arrested.
He needs to spend some time with Bubba, too.
PERL SCRIPTOR 06-17-2001, 06:09 PM Well from what I've heard there's huge amounts of evidence. Along with finding the child pornography on his computer, a minor filed a complaint. It didn't say much about it so hopefully the child is okay.
hostrocket 06-17-2001, 07:58 PM it really would depend alot on the circumstances though... having something in your browser cache, especially as a host, doesnt necessarily mean you wanted it on your computer :) Ive seen quite a bit of crap that I never wanted to see while tracking down fake accounts that people have signed up. Of course we delete it as soon as we find it and do not allow it on our servers, and that doesnt sound like what was the case here.

avara 06-17-2001, 08:19 PM Just wondering: if you're say 15, and take a photo of yourself in the nude, and go ahead and publish it on the Internet, would you be a "child pornographer"?
PERL SCRIPTOR 06-17-2001, 08:50 PM Hey,
yeah hostrocket it wasn't a web server he had them on but this personal computer. He never had his own servers. He would scam a credit card, then charge a dedicated server to it, then get clients take their annual fee and when the money for the dedicated server ran up or I guess when he couldn't get anymore customers to rip off he would move.
Hear is one of the news articles, it touchs his fraud charges

Avara, No. Just stupid.
I've heard lots of talk radio discussions on this lately because there have been several local arrests of
sickos who take their computer in for repair and the service technicians find this cr*p on the computer.
Porn isn't just a photo of kid that's naked--lots of parents with baby's first bath photos would be
arrested if that was the case--usually there is provocative pose or worse. Sick!
Can't imagine how that scars a kid.
May justice be served.

Actually -- and meaning no offense to Phoenix -- it sounds like too much television, or too many movies. What other evidence have you seen of it? Just the fact that the number of people imprisoned on child abuse charges is far more than the number of people murdered in prison means that it can't be true that they are "usually killed."
As for the rest, statistics on prison violence generally show that the most common male victims of sexual abuse in prison are those convicted of non-violent crimes, generally they are first-time offenders, and they tend to be younger and physically smaller than their attackers. One New York study showed that the average victim of a prison assault weighs 35 pounds less than the average attacker.
In short, a 35 year old convicted child molestor who stands 6-4 and weighs 280 has much less chance of becoming a victim himself in prison than does a 19 year old, 5-8, 135-pound drug offender.
I know it sometimes makes people happy that "they'll get what they deserve," and that there's this belief that there's some code of honor in prison that passes judgement on sex offenders, but I've never seen any evidence to back it up... and talking both empirical evidence and word-of-mouth; my family has a long history at Attica.
As correctional officers, I mean!
hostrocket 06-17-2001, 11:22 PM Jeffery Dahmer laster a few weeks didnt he?
