OK, so I have this problem with dns on my website. I recently moved to a new server on the same hosting company, changed the nameserver settings at network solutions, network solutions sees my new nameservers AND resolved the ip of my site yet for some reason my domain name cannot be resolved anywhere on the net.

WTF?

So I gave netsol hell about this, since it's been 4 days now, but they say it has to be the fault of my hosting company.
My hosting company has yet to respond to my requests for help.

Can anyone tell me how I can figure out where the problem lies? Do I absolutely need the help of my hosting company to diagnose and prove the cause of this problem?

Please help...

Looks like a simple problem here... your host hasn't setup their DNS servers correctly, they don't seem to have a DNS zone for your domain name. If you can't get in contact with them, then I'm sure other people would agree that you'll need to find a better hosting company.

1. you need to check if your registrar has changed its records and has pointed your domain name to your hosts dns servers. to do this, check the whois of different sites like networksolutions.com, godaddy.com, uwhois.com. if at least these three sites report that your domain name points to your new dns server, then go to 2. if not, then your registrar has failed.

2. make sure that your webhost has updated their records and that your domain name is pointed to your account. you may need to check your records from your webhost's site, or email them. if this is not the case, then your webhost is having some problems and you would need to inform them about this, else, go to 3.

3. try using another isp. if you are able to access your site using another isp, then your isp may not have updated the records of their dns. if this is the case, you would need to inform them of this.

generally, your registrar would indicate that it may take 48 hours for propagation. mine took only 24 hours or even less.

i hope i was able to help.

This is ok.

Here lies the problem.

I think that the dnsreport.com information was what I needed. It clearly shows that the name servers of my host are fubar.
This wouldn't be so bad if my web host actually responded to my frantic emails and IMs...
