Hey, I have a hewlett packard jetscan scanner, it was working on my old OS winME, and when I reformatted I upgraded to win2k professional.

I lost my cd for the drivers for the scanner, and when I did a search on the web for all drivers I couldn't find any drivers for the scanner period, let alone win2k pro.

Does anyone have a HP scanner that works on win2k? If so do you know where to get drivers for it?

If you post the model number of the scanner, I may be able to help you more.

However, here is a starting point for ya: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/software.html

Hewlett Packard ScanJet 4200C Scanner

I downloaded the software and everything, but it won't accept the drivers for some reason..... it is really wierd, it says windows found a better version, and then asks for me to put in a CD in D:\ with the drivers.

That leaves the obvious questions, did you try the Windows 2000 CD for the drivers?

Does that dialog window allow you a place to either browse to a new drive/driectory, or enter the pathname of a set of driver files? From what I remember of my W2k installs, this part is not at all obvious.
