I need help finding a host for a new youth church site. Here is an idea of what we need:

at least 20MB space
at least 1GB nadwidth
at least 20 pop3 email accounts
ftp
unix server not windows

we are looking for the most cheapest price. If any of you could help us out or know of a site like this please reply to this thread

thanks we found a host, im not sure why unix and not nt partly because its hard to run cgi on windows but windows has asp but nevermind thanks

Which host is willing to host the site? cause often host don't want to host any "hate sites" which mean they aslo have to discriminate religious sites also to make it fair.

Hello JohnnyD, I think theirs a big line between hate sites and church sites, heh. Actually, you wouldn't beleive that I had more than one offer in my e-mail from hosts that offered to host the site for free, I don't think any host would jump in and host a hate site for someone.

Well hate groups are simlar to relgious groups. Relgious groups believe in one thing and hate groups believe in another. I don't think people would discriminate hate group from joining anything when they allow relgious groups to join..

There's a big difference between a religous site and a hate site. A religious site will talk about their beliefs while a hate site will just blame all their problems on a particular group, I think you are confusing the fine line of freedom of speech

Most religious sites are fine, but some of them turn into hate sites when they attack people who aren't allowed in their congregation or who just aren't in their congregation. For instances, some regligious sites are really hate sites against homosexuals!

I'm personally turned off of Christianity because when my grandfather died the priest, at his funeral, preached that people who are not chrisitan will burn in hell. Now that kinda gets towards the hate stuff and makes me a little pissed! :angry:

Fred you are wrong, religious site and hates sites are very similar, doesn't matter what there believe are they are treated as the same.. our 1st amdentment allow use freedom of religion and freedom of expression so they are really the same.. And some religion are base on hate

Like christianity, they are againsts gays and black christins are agains jews.

So I really don't respect host that would only host reglious sites and not other hate sites.. And its probably illegal if someone is really willing to take the host to courst.
