Does a plan including the following exist?

SSH/ROOT Access
Multiple-Domain Hosting (w/Subdomains)
Automated Backup (FTP)
Control Panel Administration?
PHP4
Unlimited MySQL DB (PHPMyAdmin)
Unlimited POP3
WebMail (Squirrelmail)

Under $100/month?

I've only tried the HSphere and am looking for a different/better solution. I hate not having root access so I need something that can give me the above capabilities while still providing me the interface I need to do my development and testing as root. I also like the web-based control panels Ensim/Plesk/etc. for administration of e-mail and other stuff.

I run a very small operation consisting of about 12 sites total at the moment. All of the sites are extremely low bandwidth except for one which gets around 2000 hits/day.

All of the sites use PHP4/MYSQL.

Try the webhosting requests forum. Beware: approach all offers with caution. Do a search after you've picked a few you like.

I think a Virtual Private/Dedicated Server package is what you need (I think they allow root). I don't know many who provide them, probably just post in the request board.

Agreed. Take a look at VenturesOnline.com VPS solution. I've had mine for a while and it works for me ;).

Of course for a few bucks more you could just get your own box instead of a small VPS...

What they have looks good.. But what do you mean by getting my own box? Please be more specific.

That means renting your on full dedicated server. That's the only 'real' way you'll have full root access. No-one will give you real root access on a shared web hosting server.

The closest thing will be the VDS mentioned earlier.
