My server will probably host for medium+small sites.

How many sites can 50gb transfer host?

How much harddisk do you guys recommend for long time usage. ?

I am still searching around for suitable and good dedicated server.

any webhost that give at least 20gb diskspace, more than 50gb transfer,256 ram, good p3 processor for 200 or less/mth. and no setup fee?

i am still looking at burst.net
but i don't like slow support.

For low-medium traffic sites you should be ok with 50GB transfer.

A 20GB H.D w/ 256 ram is good enough.

In regards to BurstNet, tech support response time is reasonable, so far they have the best prices around
and the network connection is fast.

This may seem a silly question but... unless you're going to have lots of cgi or database usage, why are you getting a dedicated server if you're only expecting to use 50GB of bandwidth? A single server serving static content could do many times that amount (the 24 hour record I believe is still held by a uniprocessor Xeon 550 system running FreeBSD, at over 2 terabytes).

Low-bandwidth dedicated servers have their place, but as far as I can see that place is largely in handling single sites which need the increased security of being on their own system or which need the increased speed afforded by not using suexec.

But I'm a lowly Aspiring Evangelist, so I may be missing something here. ;)
