Hi,

I have been enjoyed the posting here for a while, and got many useful tips. Thanks.

One question. I met many hosting plans mentioning mailing lists, for example,
hostrocket.com offered unlimited mailing
lists. My question is, can those be discussion mailing lists? or just announcement lists? If they are announcement
lists only, is it permitted by hosts, in general, to install and set up my own mailing lists?

In case you are wondering why, I am building a web site based on mailing lists, and mailing list archives, but can not afford my own server.

Thanks.

Jack

I know alot of host allow unlimited annoucement lists (Im not speaking about any host just in general) discussion lists can be server intensive (depending on how active they are). Ive enjoyed using egroups.com for my disussion lists.

Hope it helps :)
