Which company here do you think is the best at offering re-selling accounts for starting up your own webhosting company?

At telaserv.net (http://www.telaserv.net) they provide a reseller's package with a great deal of flexibility. They offer very good pricing with an excellent customer service. You also get to host your reseller site free with lots of other added benefits.

Ventures Online (http://www.venturesonline.com) are also known to be quite good.

Well there is

http://wizardshosting.com
http://venturesonline.com <--was mentioned but I have never tried them
http://netfronts.com

There are quite a few hosts who offer reseller plans.

I would look around find something your interested in then come and search for the website on the boards.

Write down a list and cross them off as you go until your left with a couple choices.

www.optimumhosting.com is also a pretty good reseller. Nice and cheap, yet I never had any problems with them.

You may get more answers to this question if you post it in the "advertising" forum.

Cheers!
Rob.

Fasthosts and donhost in UK always close the domains in the reseller accounts without any warnings.

When you bandwidth above only 10gb, then you will know the problem, they will send you a mail, say that this is not "unacceptable usage", this is call "unlimited" in FH, then they may shut you down anytime they want, give a kid reason

I use SuccessfulHosting.Com and am very pleased with their service and pricing. I moved to them from ResellerMatrix.net, a complete nightmare of a "company". Avoid them at all costs!

I never had the chance to do this, based on my past experiences with some bad reseller hosts.

I moved to coolresellers back in dec. Guess what? These guys actually reply to my emails even when the ?'s are less than imperative. As a reseller, there are still things I am learning & I can really appreciate the on time help when I need it.

Oh yeah, ***** blows nuts...

DO NOT TOUCH FASTHOSTS with a barge pole! Especially if you are using the Reseller account.

We ran a hosting site last year using their reseller account and they closed our account twice without any notice! They found out that a few of our customers were abusing both Fasthosts and our AUP. So instead of telling us so we could get rid of that one customer, they shut down our account immediately, then told us!

It shut down our business at the time and crippled us badly. Why they couldn't just shut down that one account, so we could keep the rest of our customers I'll never know!

And as for there unlimited bandwidth crap! Don't believe any company that offers unlimited bandwidth, as it is not possible!

By the way, I have seen Donhost.com and they seem very similiar to Fasthosts. Are they the same company?

depends what you are looking at if you are looking at win based hosting at pro level then m6.net , pwebtech ,and people-connect.com handyhosting could be a gud choice..
or else yo might would like to try sentris , or webstrike solutions .. they do offer feature rich reseller plan...one word before you plan to go for reselling ...do a lot of research, know your client base and design a future business model ..it would help you in deciding right kind of parent host for your reselling need ....and always gear yrself to negotiate a lot with the hosts...you do get gud deals when you negotiate..never only settle down with the prices they are offering

I recently signed up with HM, before making my decision I followed their forums for a while. Even if VO has cheaper packages, they charge more for of the xtra's and setup costs for things that only takes them 10 seconds to do. It also appears to me that there are a more satisfied customers in the HM community, and that response times is better, honesty, effort and expertise appeares to be on a higher level.

I'd agree with that one.

Nope.. not even remotely... Fasthosts is run by a bunch of idiots who in my opinion made a BAD mistake when they blamed BT (British Telecom) for their 36 hour downtime not so long ago...

Donhosts is run by someone who's feeling his way slowly... making a few small mistakes along the way but learning from them.
