You should get a real internet merchant account, its not that expensive or dificult. Dogma 06-15-2001, 11:24 AM and where would someone get one of those...... yeswebmaster 06-15-2001, 12:25 PM Yes, Site 5 is great, they had a little down time a few months ago, but none I've seen in the past few months, and you can't beat their price! Support could be a but quicker, but it's fine for me! Thanks, Jonathan P. Owner/Webmaster http://www.yeswebmaster.com Alan - Vox 06-15-2001, 01:12 PM Just phone up a bank and ask them about it. jayglate 06-15-2001, 01:22 PM They had downtime because they were moving out of VDI. :) bert 06-15-2001, 01:28 PM Excellent host, great support and very fast network. :) kunal 06-15-2001, 02:27 PM they suck.. specially matt.. man.. he is a pain on icq... hehhe.. just kidding :) spoken to him a couple of times.. seems to be a calm and peace full guy... love buggin him about billl admin ;) as for their support, ive never personally used them.. but i hear its great :) Coast 06-15-2001, 02:52 PM Great people for a great company. slinky 06-17-2001, 10:47 AM I liked what I saw at site5 except for the lack of any contact numbers or physical addresses. That always makes me nervous regardless of the glowing recommendataions and the fact that I may go with them over venturesonline. (I understand about endless calls to tech support that may need to be re-routed.) Simple items such as billing issues and inconsistencies on your web site (how many gigs of transfer do I get with virtual accounts? Seems in contrast to your faqs) can or need to be taken care of quickly. Additionally, you should do something about the client sites listings. Unless I'm seeing something amiss most don't work or are in progress. Not what you want to showcase... Hercules 06-17-2001, 02:24 PM I signed up with Site5 2 days ago, and I think they are great. Actually to test my theory out (and other's opinions), I actually emailed them about getting a module installed (some graphic module for content management software). I got an email back saying they would install it asap. I am certainly impressed. And the price is great. slinky 06-17-2001, 03:01 PM Originally posted by Hercules I signed up with Site5 2 days ago, and I think they are great. Thanks for the info but 2 days is far too short to judge, especially when you are in the money-back period. bert 06-17-2001, 03:06 PM Hey slinky, you should sign up right away! :) The more research you do, the worst the selection. I can tell this from experience. :) Matt Lightner 06-17-2001, 04:52 PM Originally posted by bert The more research you do, the worst the selection. ASO-Douglas 11-18-2005, 03:03 PM This thread is more than 4 years old. Isn't bumping against the rules here? To answer your question, best contact Site5 to get your answer. I think it takes a day or two with them, and most other hosts that setup their accounts manually, and do proper fraud checks. bear 11-18-2005, 03:06 PM Agreed, this is really old. Closed. |
