I want to build a gaming league and i have pretty good knowledge of PHP and MYSQL, but i have to clue were to start....Can someone help me with some ideas on were i should start and what options should the users be able to have...Once i am done programming I am willing to make a shareware version of my gaming ladder, complete with an installment system just like PHPBB....

I would like to have such things as admin control, league moderators, and news writers, clan leaders, and regular members.

You should start out with your database design.
Number of tables, structure, etc...
Maybe even a naming convention for the fields
in your tables.

You should spend a good amount of time doing
this, for if properly done it will simplify your life
emensely.

Make the join form, then the team list, and see what fields you need, then create a database
