I'm just about ready to place an order with ThePlanet for another dedicated.

One last thing remaining that i would like, is to get a speed test. Does anyone have a 1-2mb file on a server in theplanet's DC that i could download/test for speed?

Well try them out, after a week or so come back and let us all know how you've been - then come back after two months and let us all know! :)

I don't think you'll have a bad time, there have been soo many good comments about ThePlanet that I'm pretty sure you'll have a great time - but you never know what could happen from now till two months time.

They have a tucows mirror, you can check any time you want :-)

Or if you want to download a 3-4 meg file quickly, check www.retro64.com which is also hosted at the planet.

I've placed an order today, and am in the setup process.

Just waiting now for the box to come online.

I've heard great things about them, and have yet to locate someone who's had a 'bad experience' with them.

only 1.8MB/s? is it on a 10mbps port like unitedcolo?

Hehe, only had about 3 seconds to get up there, download then finished. (downloading off my cable here at home)
