Ok here is the deal I put up a link in the webhosting requests for a site to host phpbb forum. I got some offers some to good to be true some I try to hit there website it wasn't even up. Anyway I have a great host now but I don't want to run my forum on there because he is a chrsitian hosting comapany and this forum will allow pretty much anything but porn..

With that said I went with one of the people that listed in my thread I also didn't go with a cheapy well I am not impressed after 6 hours to get account setup then resetup the way I wanted I install forum and blows up errors errors errors. I have the exact same forum running on another site so I know its not the forum.

Anyway I am in a BIND I need a legit host and I need one quick none of this 50gigs for 9.99 a month crap.

Please I need some recommendations of were to go from people running phpbb already. I plan on this forum having a decent amount of people so no wimpy hosts. I don't want to pay out the nose but I will pay for qaulity.. Thanks in advance...X

Get those host who offer CPANEL...it has pre-installed phpbb at one click.

Out of the hosts that responded to your request, I would look into spingen. Here's a link for a good comment about them and I haven't seen anything negative.

Hey thanks Coach I forgot to add in that I Want Cpanel. I don't really care for Ensim..

I'm pretty certain that spingen is offering Plesk now, not Ensim.

YUPAPA is a bit odd, but I've never heard one negative review of yupapa.com. They have a lot of happy customers. Their control panel is custom made, so you might want to take a look at a demo of it.

However, you might be set on CPanel.

In that case, the only other host that responded there that I have heard good things on in this forum that offers CPanel is p4host.com. They are pretty new and the positive reviews that have been on this forum are from clients that have been with them less than a month, but everyone has to start somewhere.

We use to offer both ENSIM and CPANEL but not PLESK...does PLESK has pre-installed PHPBB?

Plesk didn't offer it when I used it (back in the Plesk 2.0 days).

I don't think x_789 is asking for a control panel just for pre-installed scripts though. In his request, he said he preferred CPanel, but would consider others except Ensim.

Besides, phpBB takes 10 minutes to install anyway without the CPanel pre-installation. I doubt he's choosing a control panel just to save a few minutes, he's just looking for one that he is comfortable with.

You can check on www.FindMyHosting.com search by your requirements, budget, and read actual customer reviews. It is super easy one click process to install phpBB with cpanel. Hosts that I've looked at and seem pretty good: www.VNPixel.com, www.solidinternet.com is the budget hosting from Myacen who has a good reputation. I have a site with www.Surpasshosting.com and I have no complaints they have Cpanel with Fantastico which is loaded with great pre-installed scripts! Good luck!

www.vnpixel.com is good. They had hosted few busy phpbb forums and have a good review from here.

If your going to use FindMyHosting.com to find a new host, I would suggest only going with a hosting company that is "Hosting Assured" from FindMyHosting.com. This increases the chance of finding a reliable host. Plus, FindMyHosting acts as a 3rd party if a problem ever arises.
