I've been using free hosts for quite a while now, and I have come to the conclusion that buying a host is probably the best way to keep your website up and running great. I have been wanting to make a game community that is powered by phpNuke or PostNuke to post news and reviews and previews and downloads, but the free hosts have not been very tolerant of those web portals. I am also only 16 years old and just got a job. I will need to use PayPal to pay the hosting company. I can probably get along with 50-100 MB (eventhough 50MB would be pushing it), any amount of bandwidth (I really am not too sure how bandwidth works, but I doubt I will need that much), FTP (obviously) and support for PHP and MySQL (for the portal and forums.) I would like to pay under $10 a month if it's possible. $5 would be great per month, but it might be unlikely that I could find a host for that much.

If you could reccomend me a host that would meet up with those requirements, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! :stickout:

Bulzeeb, you might want to try posting a request the Webhosting Request forum. There are many hosts that would be able to provide this service to you. However, as you have come to realize from free hosts, don't just go for the cheapest offer. Look for a company that provides excellent support. If they offer you a package at too cheap a price, you're going to run into the same problem that you had with your free providers. What you are asking for can be done within the $10 range.
