I can't reach serveral different servers at eServers/DV2 via Alertra. Anyone else?

This is definitely not a good weekend. First GNAPS and now DV2 :(

down here as well. Upsetting to say the least...just when I get to breathe a bit from other problems...

Yup they are down. I was looking forward to a peaceful weekend. So much for that.

Alerta was slow in picking up the server was down. I have it set for 10 minutes and it took 45 for it to notice.

This has gotten to be an all to frequent occurence it seems. Isn't this about 4 or 5 outages so far this year? I think I had only one or two outages with them all of last year!

Not happy....

I've just got word from DV2 that the servers down are due to a router problem, they are aware of the problem so there's no point in everyone contacting them. They are working on the problem and servers should be up now or coming online again very soon.

Also, the other outages in the recent past were due to power issues I think, so this is a new matter. All data centers have problems during operation, but it's how well they resolve these issues is the most important factor.

Thought that I might pass the message on to others on this board.

The data center was not "down" - there were segments of servers that were down due to a gig card that went bad. We replaced the gig card with one of our on site spares and rebooted the router.

everything looks fine from here now.

please open a trouble ticket if you experience any more issues. thanks

I have 5 minute monitoring on 2 servers with Alertra and it hasn't went down yet, however this seems to be very locational, from home on my cable I've been unable to do much constructive all morning, yet I can shell into a server in Huntsville and then shell over and it's perfect, different route I guess.

My servers are back online. That was not too bad.
