My plan is:

Design a carrier-class virtual server hosting for China small enterprise market.

Because lack of money and technician in both enterprises and carrier, the virtual server hosting system should be automatic.

For example, a enterprise customer submit his appication form to the local carrier automation handling system from the web, the form includes domain name, disk quota, number of employees, whether or not supporting CGI/PHP, database volume. When the automation handling system located in carrier IDC receives this form , it will automatically modify the DNS, resolve the domain name to the virtual server, allocate the disk size, email boxes, database, etc.. After the procedure, it will produce an order to its sales people and inform the customer by email.

Authough this yourname.com virtual server is OK, this only for trial 30 days and it is pending for customer to test, this website could only be visited among the city bcause its domain name has not been resolved inner the carrier. after 30 days the carrier may ask the customer to pay the for the domain register fee and the service fee or do someting with it.

The help-yourself control panel is chinese version for the customers, they could create/modify/delete email boxes, upload their website and develop more enterprising feature for the web.

After all, because this system if for tens of millions of China enterprise, the system's cost should be low, hardware maybe use Intel cheap rack server and OS may use Linux.

And the system should be carrier class, high-performance(one server maybe could support 100~1,000 virtual server), stable, manageable, monitorable, load-balancing, failover...

This plan is win-win-win plan for developpers, business man, customers, carriers, I think. The main problem is who could develop this type of systems.
