If you try selling it to microsoft, it'll probably get you a lawsuit...

I'd say one you develop it, then it'll be worth a LOT. More like an unofficial site/knowledgebase for users to access on MS products. But as akash said, you're playing with fire when you deal with this domain.

First thing that poped into my head was Microsoft when seeing the domain. I am surprised they have already not contacted you about the domain or said something about it to say the least.

Could be why he hasn't heard from MS yet :D But I guess they still could go though ICANN

Yeah, they could just trace the credit card if they were really wanting to press things :)

I'm curious why Microsoft hasn't contacted you... put it through acronymfinder.com:

MSDN Microsoft Developer Network
MSDN Multi-Server Domain Name (aka shared domain name)
MSDN Multi-Service Data Network
MSDN Multi-Service Digital Node (Sprint)

Hehe, they probably own the domain registrar where he registered this domain anyways. :D

If not, they probably own the service provider of the domain registrar where he registered this domain.

If not, they probably own the company that supplies the network equipment to the service provider of the domain registrar where he registered this domain.

And finally, if you zoom out some more, they may even own the man who registered this domain himself...

It's all a maze of circular logic!
